fresque au festival de rumba à la havane

The obispo street

The obispo street is in full center of Havana, in 2mn in feet of "parque central". This long pedestrian street which goes to the sea, with numerous coffees and restaurants where Cuban traditional music bands play from noon. We can stroll in its small market of books there and local paints, investigate its numerous shops for tourists, change one's currencies at BCC (Banco comercial de Cuba) or  CADECA (other change place) or still read one's e-mails at ETECSA (telecomunication shop).

Malecon

Malecon is the long ledge which follows the seaside of the "canal de entrada" to "El Rio Almendares", in the North of the city center. It is a long walk in the peace and open air of the ocean. You will notice some fishermen posted in rocks and house of magnificent colonial style but often in ruin there and can make stopping places deserved well in one the small coffees in the sunny and welcoming terraces.

El paseo del Prado

El paseo del Prado is a wide avenue in the center of which runs a large esplanade lined with benches and trees where it is good to walk since the center, "parque central", up to the sea.

La casa de la musica

La casa de la musica is the concert hall where play the bests Cuban salsa groups. Unfortunately it is necessary to wait at the end of the long line if we do not want to give 5 cuc to the bouncers in the entrance. There is also an other casa del musica in Miramas.

The tour of town by bus

There is a bus reserved for the tourists which proposes a tour of the city in one hour. It is a good means of preliminary location to feel the atmospheres of the various districts. It leaves from "parque central".
