La presa

Scoop of your devoted explorer that you will find in no tourist guide, if you got borred of afternoons at the café, at the beach, at the museum and at the factory of tobacco, I propose you a moment of exception, a moment of solitude in the infinity: the presa. It's an immense lake in 1heure of walking(step), 15mn of bike of Vinalès is. It is for me the best spot(spotlight) to relax, bathe in a transparent water and without salt, cross(spend) a moment outside the civilization in the middle of nowhere wild. By looking well we sometimes find a small white sand beach where extend in the shade of a tree and to picniquer if we are a well organized traveler.

The lake of Vinales, CubaTo go, since the central steet of vinalès there, take the direction of the hotel Ermita, at the exit of the village, at the top of the street rise, you will see a litte road forking on the right, in front of the terrace of an isolated restaurant. At the end of this road is the lake. Then, seing the lake in front, on your right you will see the water-treatment plant (the presa feeds all the village with water). On the left a small dirt track. Follow, it uncorks in a small beach generally deserted and shadowed. If you do not find, ask for Presa, everybody knows (if you meet some body...).

The lake of Vinales, CubaIf the exploration tempts you, or if you like trekkings by bicycle or by horse, you will find numerous paths leaving of the road on left. They all lead to the lake. Some passages can a little turn out to be difficult and it's better to put foot on the ground to cross them unless you are bike crosser and in this case certain paths offer of beautiful challenges. Sometimes paths lead to dead ends and I advise you to make half tour because to cross the jungle can offer unpleasant surprises unless being correctly equipped with long pants, solid shoes covering totally your skin and a machete. Once I returned with some buttons on the legs which multiplied by about ten the next day with unbearable itches. It has proved I had been in touch with an urticant plant and more I scratched myself more I spread the poison. But if you do not move away from drawn paths you risk nothing. I saw neither snakes, nor lions nor dynosaures.
